Alberta Basketball mourns the loss of David Buffie
The Alberta Basketball Association mourns the passing of David Buffie, who spend many years officiating basketball in Edmonton.
Dave was a dedicated family man who was a very active official in the community,” says ABA executive director Paul Sir. “You always knew that Dave would engage you in a lively conversation as he shared his perspectives on basketball and life. He will be missed by all who knew him.”
The Edmonton Basketball Officials Association has partnered with Dave's family to create the EBOA Dave Buffie Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will be used to help first-year officials needing financial assistance to support their development.
Donations to the Dave Buffie Memorial Scholarship can be made payable to Edmonton Basketball Officials Association.
