2026 - 2027 ABA Membership Year
Welcome to the 2026-27 ABA Membership year. Please read through this page carefully as information and fees have changed
The Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) is the governing body for the sport of basketball in Alberta.
ABA is committed to providing a safe environment and fair competition for all of its members. This policy provides guidelines and regulations for groups running events, programs and tournaments helping to ensure a safe and fair environment.
This policy applies to all basketball related activities, events and tournaments participated in, organized by and run by ABA and its members.
Purpose of Governance
- Ensures a commitment by the event organizer that the event will be conducted in accordance with ABA guidelines
- Ensures that the event will be conducted in a fair and safe manner
- Encourages the recognition of results
- Ensures that the event meets a standard of quality required for sanctioning by ABA
- Provides insurance for participants’ safety for those activities sanctioned by ABA

Returning/Renewing Organizations
If you are a returning basketball organization please complete the following steps to renew your Organization Membership Application.
Step One:
Log in to your back end of RAMP and set up your 2026-27 Season - you will see it in your Seasons list with a box that says "requires set up" - create an "Associated Season" - call it "2026-27 ABA Membership Year"
Step Two:
Complete the 2026-27 Organization Membership Form, which is located on the backend (administrative side) of your RAMP Portal. Log in to the administration side of your RAMP Registration Portal.
Scroll down to the Permit, Sanctions and Forms tab on the left hand side and click on it, a dropdown menu will appear and you’ll select - Club Submissions
Step Three:
- You will see 5 columns Season, Permit Name Status, Balance and End Date
- Under season it will say 2026-27 ABA Membership Year,
- The Permit Name is 2026-27 Organization Membership Application Form
- Status will be pending
- Balance should be $0.00
- On the far right hand side click on the blue edit button.
Step Four: Now you will see a list of questions to complete and custom file uploads to complete, such as your Club Logo, Code of Conduct and other policies you may have.
Step Five: Sign on behalf of your club/organization.
Step Six: Note: there will be a $125 package fee required to complete your application - click the blue “save progress” button
Step Seven: Provide payment and await confirmation from ABA.
2026/27 MEMBERS ORGANIZATIONS IN GOOD STANDING
1. Organization Registration Application Form Submitted
Indicates whether the member organization has successfully submitted the Organization Registration Application Form through the RAMP Portal.
**If you would like to know whether your form has been approved, please log in to your RAMP portal to find out.**
2. Member in Good Standing
Means the member organization has met all the following conditions:

Paid the $125 Organization Registration Fee

Had their Organization Registration Application Form approved

Have all players and coaches (also board/executive if your organization has them) registered under the organization
3. Canada Basketball Verified

E-PIC/Background Checks
Alberta Basketball has partnered with Triton for background checks.
Organizations may submit bulk requests through Alberta Basketball. Please submit bulk request spreadsheets to Marc at admin@albertabasketball.ca

- Membership Year runs annually - September 1st - August 31

* Please note that Individual ABA and CB Membership fees are non-refundable after purchase
FIND YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD
- Log in to any ABA Managed Ramp portal
- Click on My Registrations
- Select "Manage" on a registration from the current year
- You will see a "Basketball Alberta Membership Card" link - this will have your Member # on it
