Selections announced for 2019 Team Alberta Final Tryout Camp
Alberta Basketball Association is proud to announce the athletes selected to take part in the 2019 Team Alberta Final Tryout Camp, Boys April 13-14 in Olds, Girls April 27-28 in Red Deer.
The camp is the last step in the selection process for ABA’s Boys and Girls 15U, 16U, and 17U provincial teams that will represent Alberta in competition this year.
Athletes were invited to the Final Tryout Camp following open tryouts and assessment camps around the province in January. The process began on Jan. 13 with open tryouts in Edmonton and Calgary. ABA then held its invitation-only team assessment camp on Jan. 20.
The 2019 provincial teams have an exciting schedule this year, culminating in major events: The Boys and Girls 15U and 17U provincial teams will participate in the Canada Basketball National Championships, with the Boys teams traveling to Fredericton, N.B.., and the Girls teams going to Victoria.
