2024 WNBA Game to take place in Edmonton at Rogers Place on May 5

Mar. 14, 2024

The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) is coming to Edmonton for preseason action this spring.

On May 5, the Los Angeles Sparks and Seattle Storm will meet at Rogers Place in the 2024 WNBA Canada Game.

Tickets for the game go on general sale March 20 at ticketmaster.ca.  Fans can register to be notified of presale ticket access at WNBACanadaGame.com

This will be just the second ever WNBA game to be played in Canada, following the inaugural WNBA Canada Game last year, which saw the Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx entertain a sold-out crowd at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

The game will be a homecoming of sorts for Sparks guard Kia Nurse, who has attended many training camps and played several games in Edmonton as a member of the Canadian Senior Women’s National Team. Nurse, a one-time WNBA All-Star, will be competing in her third Olympics for Canada this summer.

The Seattle Storm are led by 2023 WNBA scoring champion and All-Star MVP Jewell Lloyd.
